This one item collection is a letter written by W.B. Lewis of the U.S. Treasury Department to P. Dudley, Esquire, of Frankfort, Kentucky. The letter, dated November 28, 1837, concerns military certificates which enable James R. Ware, James R. Wilson, John Chadwick, and Isaac Paxton to draw $61.38 for service as privates in Capt. G.B. Crittenden's company of the Kentucky Mounted Volunteers.
